Amy Scott created Innovation Business Academy to help people like her grow their businesses. After one failed business and tens of thousands of lost capital, she finally created and launched a successful online education company in 2014 that turned into a multi-million dollar business. Through the years of building her company, she developed a keen business sense and a desire to help women & minority business owners experience similar success.
Hello, I'm Amy Scott, the founder of IBA. You might wonder why I embarked on this journey after establishing and growing FunCation Academy into a thriving multi-million dollar business. The answer is simple: I want to help people like me.
My story began with a failed business attempt, leaving me in debt and determined to pursue my passions for education, business, and helping others. Starting with just a $275 budget, I launched FunCation Academy as a single mom while working a full-time job and learning the ropes of the education industry.

In the second year, I discovered my niche market, homeschoolers, and restructured my business model. We made less than $10,000 that year.

My third year involved extensive customer research, leading to a pivotal change in the fourth year, propelling us to success.
​
By 2019, we reached a million dollars in revenue.
Then came 2020.
The pandemic brought rapid growth to FunCation, propelling us into a multi-million dollar company and allowing me to launch Innovation Academy, a non-profit online career-prep trade school, alongside Innovation Business Academy to fulfill my vision of helping small minority business owners grow successful and sustainable businesses.

I'm passionate about IBA because I wish I had a business hub and community with someone to guide me during the early years of FunCation Academy.

IBA is not your typical business building company. We understand that the average small business generates approximately $44K-$85K in annual revenue. So instead of charging unaffordable fees I decided to provide very affordable memberships starting at $10 a month!
I want to help small business owners in a very special way by providing an online business hub with Step-by-Step Guides sharing all I've learned about building a successful online business.
I also include ongoing support in our Virtual HQ , which is a unique place where members can find additional resources, support, community, and new customers. Our Virtual HQ is exclusive with extraordinary opportunities for members to connect, develop, and grow.
